Who are we?
Jackie Ward Tour Guide is a Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides member and has been a qualified guide since 2012. Re-Accreditation is measured every 3 years.
What do we do?
I have achieved Silver Accreditation and offer a wide variety of walking tours on Guernsey, Herm or Sark. In addition, I have a Private Hire Vehicle licence and have been offering driving tours in my car (Discovery Sport as at 2023) since 2017.
How do we do it?
All data is collected when you contact me by Email, messenger, telephone or any other method, through ongoing correspondence in relation to creating your bespoke tour in Guernsey, Herm or Sark. Only data you chose to share with Jackie Ward Tour Guide is retained and included in your tour and my records. This data is shared with you for your review and approval ahead of your tour date.
What personal data to we collect?
I will collect data relevant to your interests for your bespoke tour in Guernsey, Herm or Sark. I will reply to you once you contact me in the first instance, and I will need to further communicate with you by email or telephone.
Why do we collect personal data?
Data is collected solely for the purpose of creating a bespoke itinerary for your future private tour.
Our lawful grounds for processing your personal data.
You will have provided contact details to enable me to communicate with you regarding my service, I collect your First and Last name, Phone number and Email.
If you visit my website jackiewardtourguide.com, anonymised usage data is collected by various online platforms to enable me to provide better services and includes hosting and backend infrastructure, infrastructure monitoring, analytics, displaying content from external platforms such as my Facebook page, Instragram re-marketing and behavioural targeting.
What do we do with your personal data?
Data processing is carried out using computers and IT tools,
Electronic data is held for as long as necessary to complete the tour.
Subsequent to a tour I will contact you either direct or via TripAdvisor seeking feedback on the tour delivered for my testimonial record.
Data Retention.
Data is retained for the duration of your tour and up to one year thereafter. Annual housekeeping is performed to remove itineraries from my database. Tour itineraries are kept for the purposes of reference are always anonymised.
Your rights.
You may exercise the rights regarding your data at any point:
• Withdrawing your consent at any time – you have the right to withdraw consent previously given
• Right of access – you have the right to learn what data is being processed
• Right of rectification– you have the right to correct your data
• Right of erasure – you have the right for your data to be deleted or otherwise removed

Data Sharing.
Jackie Ward Tour Guide does not share your data with any other person or organisation, without the express permission of you, in the event that you request that I refer you to another guide, tour or tourist attraction.
Security
I take our data security responsibilities seriously and employ a variety of measures to protect my
customer data. This includes training and awareness, data audits, checks on third-party providers being GDPR compliant, review of my IT tools and internal procedures.
I want to reassure you that I process the minimum amount of data required for the purpose of
providing, operating and marketing Jackie Ward Tour Guide services.

How you complain to me.
